It's National CPR & AED Awareness Week (June 1–7)?
🫀 Fun fact: About 70% of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests happen at home. This means if you're ever called to act, you'll likely be trying to save someone you love. And bystander CPR can double or triple a person's chance of survival.

🫀We offer both Heartsaver and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications, whether you're a parent, teacher, coach, caregiver, or healthcare professional.

Our CPR Coordinator, Rikki, recently spent an afternoon teaching CPR, choking response, and AED use to participants of the extension office’s Home Alone program. Our participation in these events are part of the district’s community risk reduction program.

Did you know ND is advancing pediatric readiness across agencies? Hospitals, including SMP Health - St. Andrew's, are standardizing pediatric protocols across departments, while Bottineau area ambulance services participate in statewide pediatric readiness training, so kids receive expert care faster. Hospital and EMS partnerships are expanding joint simulations and family-centered care. Thank you to our hospital teams, EMS crews, and partners for your life-saving work. It's EMS Week 2026! 🎉 This week we celebrate the people who show up to answer the call. Our paramedics and EMTs face things most people never will, and they do it with skill, heart, and grit every single shift.
