Prayers are needed for Bauer Olson, son(16) of Jim and Natalie Olson who was badly injured in a freak firework accident last night. Bauers father Jim is a very important and dedicated member of our department. Below is an update Jim has posted regarding Bauers injuries.

“As many know, Bauer was in a severe mishap with a large firework last night. Just wanted to give everyone a quick update on him. He has been resting well most of the day. He suffered some severe burns to his face & head as well as broken facial bones & a fractured skull. Scans have shown that there is a small brain bleed that theyre watching. He has been alert through all of it & has been breathing on his own the whole time as well. The docs seem confident he will heal in due time. Your guys prayers have meant the world to us. From Natalie & myself we cant say thank you enough for all the messages & calls & love we've received today. From the amazing ER crew at St Andrew's in Bottineau, to the Bottineau Ambulance service, man is this community lucky to have you. The crew at Trinity in Minot was amazing as well. I didnt get a plane ride but Natalie said it was quite something. So he's resting up here in the most qualified hands possible Regions Burn unit, we are so very thankful for that. We're not sure of the length of stay yet but hopefully its not to long. Keep the prayers coming cause I know for a fact they're working.

With much love to all
Jim & Nat”

We have added the venmo accounts of Jim and Natalie along with a gofundme account that has been set up if you would like to help the family with any expenses during this difficult, very scary time.
