Boulder Creek Volunteer Fire Department

BCFD is an all volunteer fire department. We also provide mutual aid coverage throughout Santa Cruz County and occasionally the state of California.

The volunteer firefighters of Boulder Creek dedicate themselves to providing emergency coverage for the communities of Boulder Creek and Brookdale. Our firefighters all have full time jobs elsewhere and choose to respond on their off time to all types of emergencies. We are always in need of new volunteers to help fill our ranks. Stage setup is underway for our annual Summer BBQ dinner & dance! Special thank you to Legend Theatrical for donating their stage as well as time for our event. Join us tomorrow night at 5:30pm.

We’re 10 days out! Mark your calendar for Saturday, August 22, at the Boulder Creek Firehouse.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., the music starts at 5:50, and we’ll be dancing until 11 p.m. Come hungry for a tri-tip dinner, stay for three live bands, bring the kids for the Kids Zone, and check out a raffle table that keeps getting bigger.

Tickets are $30. Children under 5 get in free and eat free. Buy your tickets at bcfd.com, or pay at the door that night.

4:40am: Thanks to a very quick response, forward progress has been stopped.

4:38am UPDATE: This fire is estimated to be 1/4 acre with a slow rate-of-spread.

The 2026 Brewgrass Festival will be taking place at Roaring Camp on Saturday August 1st. A portion of the beverage sales from this event will support Boulder Creek Fire.
