ndorse, support, or advance any Democratic candidate involved in a Democratic primary. If a candidate is participating in an upcoming BoCo Young Dem event, social media posts may include their name and the title of the office they are running for, but may not be constructed in any way to indicate that they have been endorsed by the Boulder County Young Democrats. If multiple candidates are attending an event, every effort shall be made to achieve equality in social media mentions of the candidates.
2. Candidates and their campaigns may post on the BoCo Young Dem’s page so long as those posts do not state, or imply, that the Boulder County Young Dems have endorsed, or are actively supporting, said candidate.
3. Individuals may discuss any issues or candidates on the BoCo Young Dem’s page so long as they do not disparage any declared Democratic candidate or officeholder, or the Boulder County Young Democrats, the Boulder County Democratic Party, the Colorado Young Democrats, the Colorado Democratic Party, or the Democratic Party in general.
4. Personal attacks, threats of violence or retaliation, or racist language on social media will not be tolerated. Posts in violation of this policy will be documented, reported to Facebook and law enforcement, and/or deleted.
5. Failure to adhere to the above provisions of Article 5 will result in a user’s posts being deleted and the user will be banned from further posting on BoCo Young Dem Social Media.
6. An individual may appeal to the BoCo Young Dem’s executive board to have their posting privileged reinstated. The executive board will take this up at their next meeting. An individual may regain posting privileges with a majority vote of the executive committee.
