Spread some love for inclusion this Friday, February 13, 2026, at the Colorado State Capital.

Next Friday, RMDSA is launching something special: Colorado Loves Inclusion, our first-ever Valentine’s Day outreach event at the Colorado State Capitol. This is more than a visit, it’s a chance to show our leaders that inclusion truly matters to families, self-advocates, and communities across Colorado.

On Friday, February 13, we’ll be in the West Foyer from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., sharing Valentines, treats, and plenty of heart. Families, self-advocates, and allies are invited to stop by anytime to say hello, and help deliver messages that remind legislators that people with Down syndrome deserve to be seen, respected, and fully included in our state.

We’re especially excited that a local high school class will be joining us on a field trip to take part in this day of advocacy. If you’re a teacher or school leader interested in bringing a class as well, we’d love to help make that happen.

There are lots of ways to participate. Whatever works best for you:

Visit our table at the Capitol and pick up a Valentine to share with your legislator

Bring your own Valentine with a message of inclusion

Spend time with us in the West Foyer and help spread the love

Every Valentine is a reminder that policy decisions affect real people. Every person who shows up helps build a more inclusive Colorado.

We would love to see you there and can’t wait to start what we hope becomes a new RMDSA tradition. 💕

Teen Tabletop Roleplaying Game (TTRPG) Nights at the ACL

Hello friends of The Association for Community Living (ACL)!
We are excited to inform you about an upcoming Local Teen TTRPG event organized by The ACL. These events are intended to provide a safe, low-stakes, and engaging environment for teens in Boulder and Broomfield Counties to meet over a shared interest or desire to become more informed about TTRPGs like Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) and other popular systems. Teens of all abilities, neurodiversities, cultures, identities, and backgrounds are welcome to participate. Please let us know what accommodations are needed below!
A staff member will be present to help organize groups, and run some games as well to get things started. For those familiar, Rhys can teach teens how to become a Game Master, or feel comfortable as a player in D&D, Kids on Bikes/Brooms, and will run games for participants in these as well as Critical Core which is a D&D-style game specifically developed for supporting social skills in a structured environment.
Filling out this interest form will help us organize events that are accessible for interested parties in our area. Please submit this interest form at your soonest convenience, and we will send out permission forms after gauging interest.
What are TTRPGs?
Tabletop Roleplaying Games are structured games where players develop characters and explore the worlds crafted and often co-created with their Game Master. The Game Master has a set of rules they follow based on the system they are using, such as Dungeons & Dragons manuals and player handbooks.
In order to participate, the teen must provide contact information for their guardian or parent in case of emergency, and any additional information in the survey below will be helpful!
Hosted at: The ACL on 624 Coffman St., Longmont, CO 80501
For: Teens of All Abilities (Ages 13-17)
Facilitated by: Rhys Long with the ACL
Help Us Determine WHEN is best for you! School districts in the area have different dismissal times, and we want to make sure everyone that wants to participate has a chance.
Our space will be staffed 2 nights a month and groups can be organized based on interests and experience level.

Noches de TTRPG a The ACL - Encuesta de interés
¡Hola, amigas y amigos de The Association for Community Living (ACL)!
