Spread some love for inclusion this Friday, February 13, 2026, at the Colorado State Capital.
Next Friday, RMDSA is launching something special: Colorado Loves Inclusion, our first-ever Valentineโs Day outreach event at the Colorado State Capitol. This is more than a visit, itโs a chance to show our leaders that inclusion truly matters to families, self-advocates, and communities across Colorado.
On Friday, February 13, weโll be in the West Foyer from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., sharing Valentines, treats, and plenty of heart. Families, self-advocates, and allies are invited to stop by anytime to say hello, and help deliver messages that remind legislators that people with Down syndrome deserve to be seen, respected, and fully included in our state.
Weโre especially excited that a local high school class will be joining us on a field trip to take part in this day of advocacy. If youโre a teacher or school leader interested in bringing a class as well, weโd love to help make that happen.
There are lots of ways to participate. Whatever works best for you:
Visit our table at the Capitol and pick up a Valentine to share with your legislator
Bring your own Valentine with a message of inclusion
Spend time with us in the West Foyer and help spread the love
Every Valentine is a reminder that policy decisions affect real people. Every person who shows up helps build a more inclusive Colorado.
