Great work by everyone involved preventing further fire growth! We were happy to be able to support our partners and deploy firefighters to help contain the fire.

Earlier today, Boulder Emergency Squad deployed to the Plainview Fire near the intersection of Highway 93 and Highway 72. The fire has burned over 100 acres south of Boulder, and BES worked alongside regional partner agencies to support containment efforts.
Our teams provided a wildland fire hand crew for ground suppression, while our UAS team provided critical mapping and live overwatch to monitor fire behavior and ensure personnel safety.
Thank you to all our mutual aid partners for the seamless collaboration. Please continue to avoid the area as crews remain on-site for mop-up operations.

Every year in October, BES holds our annual meeting, during which we take a photo together to memorialize the professionals who make up our team. As volunteers, each year people come and go from the team as they experience life changes. But the skill, proficiency, and impact of the team remains constant. This photo represents most of the 2025 team and we could not ask for a better group to work with!
