What happens when violence is treated like a joke?
A recent golf ad showing a man shoving a woman to the ground sparked a larger conversation about how we see and talk about violence against women.
That conversation matters.
In Boulder County, about 1,000 of the 8,000 cases handled by the District Attorney’s Office each year are domestic-violence-related. Behind every case is a person—and often a family—navigating fear, safety and difficult decisions.
Awareness starts conversations. Conversations can change how we recognize violence, respond to it and support survivors.
Let’s keep the conversation going.
