Please join us in congratulating Officers Gatti, Sabal, Eckerson, and Lowder on receiving recognition from Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) for their efforts in combating impaired driving and helping keep our community safe.

Every impaired driver removed from the roadway represents more than a motor vehicle stop, it’s a potential crash prevented, an injury avoided, and a life protected. Approximately 32 people are killed every day in drunk-driving crashes across the United States, with alcohol-impaired driving accounting for nearly 30% of all traffic fatalities.

Through their dedication, vigilance, and commitment to public safety, these officers work every day to protect the residents, visitors, and families of Bound Brook. Their efforts help make our community a safer place to live, work, and travel.

Congratulations to Officers Gatti, Sabal, Eckerson, and Lowder on this well-deserved recognition. We are proud of your service and thankful for your commitment to keeping our community safe.

Our officers had the opportunity to participate in Friendship Day with students from Bound Brook High School, followed by a friendly (and surprisingly competitive) round of Race a Cop.

It was a great day filled with laughter, teamwork and positive interactions between our officers and students. Events like these help build relationships, create lasting memories and remind us that community policing is about much more than responding to calls… it's about making connections.

A big thank you to the students, staff and everyone who helped make the day a success. And to the officers who got challenged to races... we won't mention who crossed the finish line first.

🚧 𝗥𝗢𝗔𝗗 𝗖𝗟𝗢𝗦𝗨𝗥𝗘 🚧

W. Franklin Street between Vosseller Avenue and Livingston Street is currently closed for road reconstruction.

Before anyone asks... no, you can’t sneak through. No, GPS doesn’t know a secret route. And no, telling the barricades, “I’m just going right there” won’t make them move.

The project is expected to last several weeks, so please plan alternate routes and allow for extra travel time while the work is being completed. Officers will be in the area and will do our best to accommodate residents and help minimize disruptions whenever possible.

We appreciate your patience as these roadway improvements are made. Thank you for helping us keep traffic moving safely and for resisting the urge to test whether the road closure signs are merely suggestions (they’re not).

Yesterday, our officers proudly participated in the Torch Run for Special Olympics. It was an honor to carry the Flame of Hope alongside law enforcement agencies and supporters, helping raise awareness and support for these incredible athletes.

The determination, courage and spirit displayed by Special Olympics participants continue to inspire us all. We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a meaningful tradition and to support an organization that changes lives every day.

New Jersey: “You must stop for a stopped ice cream truck.”

For public safety, of course. Not because you suddenly need a Choco Taco (yes, we’re sad they don’t make them anymore too) and an existential break.

It is, in fact, the law. Once you come to a complete stop, you can proceed past an ice cream truck.

🚨🎓 𝙿𝚁𝙾𝙼 𝙽𝙸𝙶𝙷𝚃 𝙿𝚂𝙰 🎓🚨

Tonight is about making memories, not headlines. As you head out to prom, celebrate safely, look out for your friends, and make smart decisions.

The vehicle displayed in front of the school is a reminder that one bad decision behind the wheel can change lives in an instant. No text, drink, distraction, or risky choice is worth it.

Have fun, enjoy the night, and make it home safely. Your family, friends, and our community want to see everyone back tomorrow with nothing but good memories and great pictures.

Be smart. Be safe. Have an amazing prom night.
