Thank you to our Ultra Community for starting to clean up Kenny Creek trail for the season. They are meeting again tomorrow evening (4/20) if you’d like to lend a hand!

🌲 Kenny Creek Update🌲

Kenny Creek has been redesignated as a hoof and boot only trail! 🥾 🐎

Thanks to our partnership with the Forest Service, this milestone helps protect the trails and ensures it stays a great place for hikers and equestrians to enjoy!

One of the most anticipated trails we have had in our Bountiful Trails Network currently known as, “304” for the upper portion and “305” for the lower…has an official name! 👏🏻 🐘

We also have a new trail map that will reveal names new and old of other trails throughout the trail network. Much discussion and time is spent with the USFS, Bountiful City and the Bountiful Trails Advisory Committee to name trails within certain USFS guidelines. We are thrilled about the names and the new map for your recreational use!

Please leave inset rocks and roots. The character of the trail is important to users at large. P.S. If it feels too technical on a bike, look for a different line or practice on the curb at home. You got this!

Mueller/North Canyon Trails need a trim!

GOAL: Ideal trail corridor is 48” inches in width. This typically means organic material needs to be trimmed back 12”-24” from the edge of the trail tread. Essentially, remove the sticky shrub growth and imposing leafy greens! Clippings need to be thrown as far off the trail as possible. Keep in mind equestrian users who need ~10’ height.

WHO: All user types are appreciated. You can walk, run, ride, moto, e-moto to the assigned areas, as this project is focused only on the ALL user trails.

TOOLS: We have found electric hedge trimmers to be a game changer. Bring an extra battery! Also, Pruners or small saws are useful and rakes to remove trimmings from the trail. Don’t forget gloves and water!

Did you know the Holbrook Canyon Trail connects you to the Great Western Trail?

The upper portion of this trail gets overgrown because most users don’t go near that far, but we’d like to change that!

Work this year has been done to 1.8 miles past the pipe line. The trail angels who love this trail are looking to get it clear to the top and would love some help. DM for more details if you can join the 23rd or would like to help at a different time.
