‼️BOIL WATER ADVISORY LIFTED‼️

Good news! The boil water advisory affecting the FOUR homes has officially been lifted. We received our test results, and both bacteria tests came back negative.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while we waited for the test results and worked to ensure the water was safe. Thank you for your cooperation!

At this time, there are four homes under a boil water advisory due to a water line repair made yesterday.

All affected homes had a boil water advisory tag placed on their doors yesterday. Once the advisory is lifted, Town of Bourbon Utilities will place a door hanger on your door notifying you that the boil order has been lifted.

Please remember that a series of water tests must be completed and all tests must pass before we can safely lift the advisory.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while we complete the necessary testing to ensure your water is safe.

For the four residences affected, please continue to follow the boil water advisory until you receive official notification from the Town of Bourbon Utilities.

🚨🚽 FRIENDLY REMINDER: “FLUSHABLE” DOES NOT MEAN “FLUSH IT!” 🚽🚨

Those “flushable” wipes may claim they belong in the toilet, but our sewer system would like to respectfully disagree.😂

Please. Do. Not. Flush. Wipes.🚫

Unlike toilet paper, wipes don’t break down quickly and they can cause some serious problems. Think clogged pipes, backed-up sewers, and expensive repairs…

🧻 Toilet paper? Flush it.
🧼 Wipes? Trash it.

Help us keep our pipes happy and our utility crews out of the sewer trenches!
