Although my mom and grandma both have damage from being hit by Tuesday Nights tornado in Aroma Park- they are ok and it could have been worse 🙏🏻❤️⛈️

WOW peeps 👀 I hope you and yours are all safe out there 🙏🏻❤️⛈️ That was a wild ride over here by the River Country WIVR 101.7 FM studios, but it was nothing compared to the terrible damage I've been seeing from listeners online in Bradley, Aroma Park, Kankakee, St. Anne, and beyond! Check on your people, but please be vigilant and plan accordingly! There is still potential for another round later to night.

In our latest episode, Lou Perakis shares the story of his first—and last—time hunting. Lou was 17 years old and living on the South Side of Chicago when his older brother, John, decided to head south to Kankakee for opening day.

What followed was a wrestling match with a game warden, a "horseshoe" of luck for his brother, and a trip to a kitchen in Aroma Park where the local bartender doubled as the judge.

From the "Old Country" defense uttered by his older brother, Lou joins us to look back on a day that became a family legend.
