Bowdon Main Street

Bowdon Main Street Main Street is a downtown revitalization program. Main Street is a national organization which was organized by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

The basis for the Bowdon Main Street program is to encourage preservation of Bowdon’s unique heritage while creating new opportunities for economic growth. Our Main Street program will work off the national standards of the four point approach.
1) Organization: We will seek partnerships with public and private sectors, local clubs, groups, schools and organizations, as well as, larger corporate p

artners to create opportunities for progress.
2) Promotion: We will explore Bowdon’s unique assets and determine the best branding and marketing strategy for advertising and promoting Bowdon.
3) Design: We will study and discuss our parks, walking trails, streetscapes, storefronts, lighting, and other design aspects to determine the best approach for beautifying the downtown area.
4) Economic Restructuring – We will seek opportunities to create an attractive and inviting atmosphere to retain current citizens and businesses and to attract new citizens, tourists and businesses to our downtown.

It’s time for our PB&J Merchant Challenge! 🏆

From September 1–September 30, participating Bowdon merchants will be competing to see WHO CAN COLLECT THE MOST PEANUT BUTTER & JELLY!

And we need YOU to help your favorite merchant win! 🙌

🥜 Grab a jar of peanut butter
🍇 Grab a jar of jelly
🛍️ Drop them off at your favorite participating Bowdon merchant
🏆 Help them earn bragging rights as our PB&J Merchant Challenge Champion!

But the BEST part? ❤️

Every single jar collected will be donated to the Bowdon Area United Christian Ministries (BAUCM) pantry to help stock their shelves and serve families right here in our community.

🇺🇸 9/11 CEREMONY — WE WILL NEVER FORGET 🇺🇸

Please join us on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 11:00 AM as we come together to remember and honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, the heroes who answered the call, and the strength and unity of our nation.

We are honored to welcome Bryant Hightower as our guest speaker. Bryant will share his personal experience from the aftermath of September 11, having worked at Ground Zero for three months. We are grateful for the opportunity to hear his firsthand reflections and remember this important moment in our nation’s history.
