Thank you to Conotton Valley Union Local School District and the Conotton Valley Elementary PTO for allowing us to come talk to the kids today about fire safety during field day. It's always a pleasure to see the smiling faces. Parents please expect your kids to come home talking to you about how they can be fire safe at home.

It's that time of year again where our youth graduate high school and prepare for the adult world. First, we here at Bowerston Fire want to congratulate the Class of 2026 here at Conotton Valley and beyond. Many of you will go on to college and some will find the trades. We encourage you to come and talk to us about a career path in emergency response. Bowerston Fire is a part time department but in exchange for your service here along with a part time job you can get a free education. Career fire departments across our state are facing a time with fewer qualified candidates so the job market is better than ever. Smaller part time agencies like ours are where many build their experience and education in order to then utilize that toward a career. Fire and EMS is an incredibly rewarding, exciting, and dynamic profession where no two days are ever truly the same. Please, enjoy the coming weeks of graduation but when you're ready come see us to talk about a career in fire and EMS response.

Congratulations to Danielle Fogle for passing her national registry exam and becoming our newest EMT Advanced. Danielle has been one of our most active members for several years now and we're proud to see her grow into an ALS provider. Currently Bowerston Fire has 5 more students actively taking classes to better their careers and their ability to serve the public. We firmly believe that investing in our people's education creates the best service we can offer and we're proud to have such dedicated professionals willing to progress.
