🚨 Important Vaccination Information for the 2026-2027 School Year 🚨

As we prepare for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year, now is the perfect time to review your child’s immunization records.

Texas State Law requires all students to have updated vaccination records or a valid exemption on file before the first day of school.

✔️ If your child is fully vaccinated or has a current exemption (expires every two years) already on file with the school nurse — No action is needed!

âť— If your child needs vaccinations or you have not submitted updated records, we encourage you to take care of this over the summer to avoid any delays in enrollment.

STAAR 3-8 assessment results are now available on the Texas Assessment site. Parents should log in to the Ascender Parent Portal. There is a button that says "Texas Assessment." Once you click there, you will be redirected and able to view your students' scores.

We did ask about a reschedule date for the free physical at Bowie High School. They are working on a new date. There are a lot of pieces to put together, including coordinating with doctors’ schedules. As soon as I know anything, we will post it here.

The BJH leadership team will reach out to families of students who need to participate in summer school due to attendance deficiencies or a failing year-end grade. It is VERY important that we contact each family to ensure that all students' needs are met. These needs include transportation and meal counts. Thank you in advance for promptly picking up and/or returning our calls. The attachment includes the information for both weeks of summer school. We will make calls regarding STAAR tests next Monday after receiving the results on Friday, May 29.
