Today is a big day for BGVFD. We are excited and incredibly proud to announce that we were awarded a grant from the Indiana Office for Community and Rural Affairs to build a new firehouse. Thank you to all of those that have taken the time to support us during this endeavor. Stay tuned for updates over the next few months.

We will be selling Ice Cream, brownie sundaes, root beer floats and new this year caramel apples at the firehouse August 28th and 29th during the Bowling Green Old Settlers Festival . Come see us for a yummy treat after a delicious meal at the community center.

Last night BGVFD got the honor of receiving a Great Wall of Rescue:Grain entrapment tube and auger system courtesy of Nationwide insurance, the Indiana Corn Marketing Council and Fram Credit bank. Along with valuable education and hands on training from the National Education Center for Agricultural Safety. This will allow us to help our area farmers when seconds count. This tube system also interfaces with systems from other area departments to become larger if needed.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Seelyville Fire Department and the Osborn family during this difficult time.

What a beautiful day and an AMAZING turnout for our annual fish fry. Just wanted to take a moment to express our gratitude for the support and generosity of our community. I also wanted to say Thank You to those running for election this year came to help us serve food today.
