Join us as we kick off the 2026–27 school year and celebrate our Gators competing in fall sports!

We would love for all of our middle school teams to come out and be recognized. We want this to be a fun community event and a great way to kick off the fall sports season!

We’ll have several competitions, food trucks, face painting, a photo booth, and, of course, we’ll be announcing and recognizing all of our fall teams.

After Meet the Gators, everyone is encouraged to head over to the high school girls soccer game and support them in their first home game of the season! ⚽️

What a great first day at DCMS! It was wonderful to have our students back in the building and see the excitement that comes with the start of a new school year. We’re looking forward to a great year ahead!

A special thank you to the Young family, DCMS PTO, and Compton Orthodontics for providing snacks and drinks for our staff. We also appreciate Victory Hills Church for donating two gift cards to staff members to help purchase supplies for their classrooms.

We are grateful for the continued support of our students, staff, and school community!

Congratulations to Frances Keyes for being nominated for the Cornerstone Award! She was one of four outstanding nominees recognized yesterday.

We are proud of this well-deserved recognition and thank her for her hard work, commitment, and dedication to the students of DCMS.

Welcome back, Gators!

School starts Wednesday, August 12th. Please see the attached map for car rider drop-off and pick-up. Doors will open at 7AM. Students should be dropped off by 7:20AM. Please give yourself plenty of time, the first few days will be very busy.

It's Open House Day at Drakes Creek Middle School!

We can't wait to welcome our Gator families tonight!

Please enter through Doors 1–4 (Main Entrance). Additional parking is available on the side of the school. If you're traveling on Bluegrass Farms Blvd., drive past the school and take the first left just beyond the building to access the side parking lot.

While you're here, be sure to stop by the PTO table in the gym! Our PTO is looking for a Vice President, Spirit Night Coordinator, Teacher Appreciation Coordinator, and anyone interested in volunteering throughout the year.

You'll also have the opportunity to visit with our bus drivers, Gifted & Talented program, and other school resources located in the gyms.

Mobile Moo Ice Cream will be set up outside, so be sure to grab a sweet treat while you're here!

We look forward to seeing everyone tonight and kicking off an amazing school year. Go Gators! 🐊
