Late night post!

This evening The Capitol by the Warren County Public Library hosted an evening with columnist and novelist Sean Dietrich, also known as Sean of the South.

It was a wonderful evening of storytelling and music, followed by warm hugs and friendly conversations with Sean and his lovely wife Jamie. (As a bonus, Marigold the Magnificent was also in attendance!)

Sean loves Little Free Libraries, and frequently visits them and posts about them during his travels. I was so excited when he offered to donate two of his books to our very own LFL!

Thanks Sean Dietrich for a wonderful evening, and for generously supporting Little Free Libraries everywhere.❤️

This is a bit of a housekeeping post! (Also, Happy November! 🦃)

As we go further into fall and winter our overflow cart will be out less and less. 🥶☃️

Right now we have a bit of a shortage of children's books, but an excess of adult paperback fiction by Debbie Macomber, Janet Evanovich, Laura Griffith, Susan Elizabeth Phillips, and Jodi Thomas, among others.

In order to keep our inventory fresh and interesting to those who use our library, books that have been in circulation for some time, such as many of these paperbacks, are donated to either to the Potter Children's Home, or to the Warren County Public Library for their used book sales.

If there are any that you or someone you know would like, please stop by and visit today! Take as many as you like!

As always, donations of gently used books are greatly appreciated. ❤️

Happy Saturday! 🌞
It's a beautiful day in our neighborhood today! 🌞

I've been beginning-of-the-school-year exhausted for the last few weeks and haven't posted in a while, but today is a perfect weather day. The overflow cart is out, as well as a couple of extra boxes of books. These have been circulating at our LFL for a while, and so to make way for newer donations they'll be donated soon to either the WCPL or the Potter Children's Home Sale.

Behind the scenes tip: At a small public library that I worked at many years ago, I learned sponges lightly sprayed with wintergreen alcohol were used to quickly wipe down the covers of books before reshelving them. ☺️
