In an emergency, every second counts. One of the simplest ways you can help first responders find you quickly is by making sure your 911 address is clearly posted at the end of your driveway, near the roadway and in your residence.

Your address numbers should be:
✅ Clearly visible from the road
✅ Large enough to read easily
✅ Kept free from overgrown vegetation or obstructions
✅ Visible during nighttime and poor weather conditions

This is especially important for rural residences, long driveways, and homes that may not be easily visible from the road.

When you call 911, knowing where you are is important—but having your address clearly marked can help law enforcement, fire, EMS, and other emergency responders locate you without unnecessary delays.

Use this as a reminder to take a moment today to check your address sign. It could make a difference when seconds matter most. Thank you, be safe!
