Another moment to acknowledge our dispatchers from Pike County Missouri Sheriff's Office, Sergeant Barton last week.

During a 911 call, Sergeant Barton was in dispatch and had the opportunity to watch dispatchers behind the scenes. He expressed how the dispatcher’s professionalism and calmness were both incredible during a traumatic injury call where all emotions for those involved are already heightened.

We’re so very thankful for dispatchers who manage chaos so efficiently and appreciate our partner agencies that take a few minutes to share their appreciation with us.

A big SHOUT-OUT to our Pike County 911 Dispatch for their outstanding work during an especially busy period Sunday.

With just two dispatchers managing two separate vehicle accidents simultaneously, they also continued handling other non-emergency calls coming into the center. Throughout it all, they remained calm, professional, and organized while ensuring emergency personnel received the information and resources they needed.

Dispatchers are often the first voice you hear in an emergency and play a vital role in every response, even though much of their work happens behind the scenes. We appreciate the dedication, professionalism, and hard work of the Pike County 911 dispatchers. Thank you for keeping everything moving and helping protect our responders and community! 👏🚓🚑🚒
