Leadership, Wellness & A Healthier WCRJ
Yesterday, the leadership team at Warren County Regional Jail had the opportunity to participate in an Administration Retreat hosted by Help the Helpers, focusing on an important topic that impacts every organization, hypervigilance and its effects on leaders and staff.
Working in corrections requires us to remain alert, prepared, and aware of our surroundings. While that hypervigilance can be essential to keeping people safe, carrying that mindset into every aspect of our lives can also take a toll on our leadership, our relationships, our decision-making, and our overall well-being.
This retreat gave our leadership team an opportunity to step back, have honest conversations, and revisit our expectations of leadership, not only in terms of safety, accountability, and performance, but also in creating a healthy environment where our staff can thrive.
At WCRJ, we believe that healthy leaders create healthier teams. Taking care of our people isn't a weakness; it's an essential part of effective leadership.
We are committed to continuing to learn, grow, and make positive changes that support the men and women who serve Warren County Regional Jail every day.
Lead well. Take care of your people. Take care of yourself.
A special thank you to Help the Helpers for investing in our leadership team and helping us continue building a stronger, healthier WCRJ. đź’™
