Spring Awards 🎖️

This past week, the Fighting Falcon Battalion celebrated our 78th Annual Spring Awards Ceremony—an evening dedicated to recognizing the hard work, leadership, and achievements of our cadets throughout the year.

Organized and led by our cadet battalion staff, the ceremony highlighted a major milestone as our seniors received their branch insignias ahead of commissioning later this month. We also proudly announced the cadet battalion staff for the 2026–2027 academic year.

Cadets were recognized for outstanding academic performance, reflecting their commitment to excellence both in and out of the classroom.

Thank you to all of our guests, and congratulations to our exceptional cadets—we’re excited to see all that you will accomplish! 🇺🇸

This week at LAB, the Fighting Falcon Battalion executed a full-scale attack to sharpen our tactics and build cohesion ahead of JFTX with WMU this weekend. Every movement, every decision, and every leader’s intent pushed our Cadets to think critically and act decisively under pressure.

Training like this develops more than just tactical proficiency—it builds the confidence, discipline, and leadership skills needed on and off the field. Ready for the next fight. ⚔️🦅

The Fighting Falcon Battalion led the way this weekend, hosting and executing a challenging 18.6 mile Norwegian Foot March 💪🇺🇸

A total of 101 participants stepped up to the challenge:
• 51 BGSU Army ROTC cadets
• 36 cadets from other ROTC programs
• 14 Army Guard/Reserve/Active Duty Soldiers

From start to finish, this event showcased resilience, discipline, and the warrior spirit that defines our future leaders. Outstanding effort by all who took part, and congratulations to those who successfully earned the badge—Falcons continue to set the standard. 🦅🔥

Yesterday at our lab the Fighting Falcon Battalion executed a tactical raid, sharpening the skills that matter most when it counts. From planning to ex*****on, cadets were pushed to think critically, lead decisively, and operate as a cohesive team.

This training prepares us for the challenges ahead as we gear up for the Joint Field Training Exercise with Western Michigan University and for the Cadets attending Advanced Camp in a very short 3 months. Keep up the great work Cadets!

Last week at Lab the Fighting Falcon Battalion conducted an ambush to test the Cadets’ the leadership and tactical knowledge and expertise as we gear up and prepare for the Joint Field Training Exercise with Western Michigan University!

Yesterday the Fight Falcon Battalion conducted a Raid during lab on Objective Shrek in order to destroy an enemy Mortar Firing Position.

Conducting patrols during lab enhances the battalions team working skills to accomplish missions as they prepare for the upcoming Joint Field Training Exercise with Western Michigan University, and the MS3s prepare to put their tactical knowledge to the test at Advanced Camp in the short coming months.

Keep up the great work Cadets, and GO FALCONS!!!

Last week the Fighting Falcon Batallion conducted a timed 8-mile ruck in order to prepare the MS3 cadets attending Advanced Camp this upcoming summer, and to test the cardiovascular and muscular endurance of our Cadets. Majority of the battalion completed the ruck within the 15 minute pace required for Recando at Advnced Camp. Keep up the great work falcons! 🇺🇸 🦅
