This show is a wonderful opportunity to make friends, gain responsibility, have a positive role in your community, and have fun doing it! (It makes a great resume builder too!)

Join us for a fun-filled 4-H afternoon at the Wood County Fair on Wednesday, August 5th! Bring the whole family and enjoy hands-on activities, learning, games, and lots of 4-H fun. This event is open to all Wood County Fair attendees, so stop by anytime to participate at your own pace. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

If you are a 4-H family, help “turn the fair green for 4-H” by wearing your favorite shirt featuring the 4-H clover. We look forward to seeing you AT THE FAIR! 🎉🍀🎉🍀

Wood County 4-H Volunteers...
We are actively recruiting teens and adults to assist with upcoming 4-H Project Interview Judging on Tuesday, July 14 and Thursday, July 16.
Volunteers are needed to assist with registration both days and additionally monitor/score livestock skill-a-thon stations on Thursday.

It's June....Wood County 4-H Teens:
The Wood County 4-H Honor Court application is online and due by June 15th for eligible members age 16 and up. Members chosen for the 2026-2027 4-H Honor Court will be awarded a monetary scholarship ($1,000 each for the two Top 4-H'ers and $750 each for the additional six members of the court) and asked to continue to hold leadership roles/appearances at Wood County 4-H events.

Thank you to the Wood County Clover Legacy Foundation for donating funds to help bolster our luggage cart fleet. Here are just two of the multiple NEW carts and some $ went towards new wheels to fix up our already loved carts.

🐄🐖🐓 Ohio 4-H Animal Sciences Opportunities at the Ohio State Fair! 🐓🐖🐄

This summer, Ohio 4-H members have several exciting opportunities to showcase their animal knowledge and skills through educational contests and events at the Ohio State Fair.

Opportunities Include:
• Ohio 4-H Skillathons (Dates Vary)
• Outstanding Exhibitor (Breeding and Market) (Dates Vary)
• Ohio State Fair 4-H Livestock Judging Contest – July 26, 2026
• Ohio State Fair 4-H Poultry Judging Contest – July 11, 2026
• Ohio State Fair 4-H Avian Bowl Contest – July 11, 2026

These experiences help youth build industry knowledge, confidence, critical thinking, and teamwork skills while connecting with fellow exhibitors from across Ohio.

📌 Please note:
Registration for the Livestock Judging, Poultry Judging, and Avian Bowl contests requires an Extension professional’s signature to verify current 4-H membership standing.
