Great program for 10-12 graders interested in beef!

The Kentucky Beef Council is excited to host another Youth Leadership Program in 2026. This educational program is designed for youth who have a sincere desire to explore career opportunities and leadership development practices within the beef industry. Accepted attendees will get first-hand experience in areas of beef marketing, beef production, and beef advocacy. Attendees will also be able to network with leaders about various careers, internships, and educational opportunities that they can use in their future careers.

This program is open to incoming high school sophomore, junior, or seniors. Participants must also be a Kentucky resident and/or enrolled in a Kentucky school. Attendees will be selected through an application and potential interview process. Hotel and travel will be covered by the Kentucky Beef Council. Attendees will be responsible for some meals.

🎨The University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Offices are excited to invite youth from our communities to participate in a fun and creative art contest!
✅This contest is a wonderful opportunity for young artists to showcase their creativity while learning about the important agricultural commodities that are represented Warren County.
🖋️Each participant uses the attached coloring page to add their own personal touch and imagination with Warren County Commodities.
🎁We have prizes for following grade levels (K-2nd; 3rd-5th; 6th-8th; & 9th-12th). The winning entry will be featured at the KY State Fair in August.
❗We will have All entries are due to the Warren County Extension Office no later than Thursday, May 28th.

Awesome Beef Month celebration with our annual burger Cookoff! The BOO burger from the Wahl family was the Winner, Rockin C, Cole Family was 2nd, and the Jones burger with Morgantown Bank and Trust was 3rd and Best presentation voted on by the membership! Thanks for all the teams that participated. And a big thank you to Eric Aldridge, 5th district magistrate and Bradon Burks, with KY Cattlemen’s Association for being our judges!

The Warren County Cattlemen will be celebrating May is Beef month with their annual burger Cookoff May 7th at the extension office starting at 6:30pm. Braden Burke will be joining us from the Ky Cattlemens Association to give us updates and highlights from the state! RSVP by calling 270-842-1681 by May 4th.

Cattlemen's Association Burger Cook Off

- Thursday May 7th
- 6:30 p.m.
- Warren County Extension Office

Cook- Off Rules:
- Teams must sign up to participate by May 1st.
- Teams may be one person or multiple, but one member must be a cattleman’s member.
- Teams must provide their own equipment and product
- Have burgers ready for judging at the Extension Office by 6:00 PM. Each team must present four burgers: three burgers cut into four equal pieces, with a toothpick in each piece, and one burger left whole for presentation judging
- Burgers must be beef

Prizes – Winners will earn bragging rights &
1st place - $100
2nd place - $50
3rd place - $25
Most creative - $25
Appearance/Presentation - $25
