Court Street Connects

Court Street Connects Court Street Connects in a FREE community event in the Court Street block of downtown Bowling Green. Stay tuned for more information!

Court Street Connects is a FREE community-
led event designed to bring attention to the neighborhood between BGSU and Downtown while engaging residents in thinking about public and private improvements that can occur around this important East Side corridor. It was identi ed as the most desired Early Action Project by residents and stakeholders as part of the Bowling Green Community Action Plan. T

his event utilizes an approach to neighborhood building that focuses short-term, low-cost, and scalable interventions and policies to catalyze long term change. A key element of Court Street Connects will be the testing of a Complete Streets approach to Court Street through the temporary establishment of a separated on-street bicycle lane on the south side of Court Street between N Prospect and Thurstin Streets. Existing on-street parking on the south side will be removed from April 17th to April 30th to allow for installation of the bike lane. We are putting together a schedule of activities that will include a tour of the historic Wood County Courthouse, music and food, kids activities, yoga, a bookmobile, safety information, re station open house, and local exhibits focusing on sustainability and community assets. The Festival portion of the event will occur on Earth Day - Saturday, April 22 - from 10 AM to 5 PM. An alternative “rain day” is scheduled for Sunday, April 23 from 10 AM to 5 PM. The on-street bicycle lane will be in place for the following week until Saturday, April 30.
