To our Dearest Customers,
It is with many emotions that Torrey Oaks Golf Course, Inc. announces the closing of its business operations as of
Monday, April 30, 2018.
Words cannot express the appreciation we have had for each of you and your past patronage for close to 30 years!!
You have watched us grow from a small 9-hole course to a beautiful and challenging 18-hole course. You have also weathered many large storms with us and for that we are thankful.
We will forever cherish our memories as being Hardee County’s “home” course and being able to help so many schools, businesses and organizations raise money for their special needs and causes. We are thankful that we could bring our love of golf to our community and watch so many enjoy this game, as well.
Many sectors of the golfing industry continue to be in a severe downturn. These sectors have never really recovered from the “recession” years 2008-2014.
In addition, certain social media pages have negatively impacted our current business levels severely.
We do have a pending contract. The current potential buyer may keep at least part of the course open, but that is entirely up to their own development plans and future intentions.
We plan on selling the property in parcels or as a “whole” if that pending contract is not executed.
Regardless, we have no intentions to reopen.
