We’re excited to announce our upcoming Scam Prevention Seminar, featuring speakers from the FBI and Service One Credit Union!

Protecting our community includes making sure our residents are informed, prepared, and equipped with the knowledge they need to recognize and prevent fraud.

Join us on September 3, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the Bowling Green Police Department to hear from professionals in law enforcement and banking on how to protect yourself from scams and fraud.

There will also be an opportunity for Q&A, so bring your questions!

Happy WKU Move-In Week! 🔴⚪️

The recruits of Bowling Green Law Enforcement Academy Class 10 welcomed students back to the Hill by running every. single. step. on WKU’s main campus. 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Class 10 is now approximately ONE MONTH away from graduating the academy and beginning field training!

We hope Move-In Week is going great and we wish all of our Hilltoppers a safe and successful semester!

We love our crossing guards!

Thank you to WNKY Television and Micah Hensen for visiting with Ms. Woods at the Liberty and Nutwood crossing.

Ms. Woods has served our community as a crossing guard for 17 years and we thank her for her dedication and service!

At 7:55 pm, on Friday, August 14, 2026, the Bowling Green Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the 3000 block of Woodbridge Lane.

When officers arrived, they located 16-year-old Biak Hmung, who was deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.

A 16-year-old male was arrested and lodged in connection with the incident and charged with Reckless Homicide.

The investigation remains ongoing.
