See you at the Wood County Fair! Prior to the start of the fair, Auditor Matthew Oestreich and Weights & Measures Inspector Brian King tested all the livestock scales. The auditor is responsible to test and certify commercial scales throughout the county. Auditor Oestreich’s first job at the county was as the Weights & Measures Inspector 26 years ago!

It was a pleasure to be on the radio this morning with Dawn on Classic Hits 96.7 WBVI. We spoke about property tax reform and recent legislative changes. Because of these changes, Treasurer Jane Spoerl has extended the tax bill due date to August 17th. Tax bills will be arriving in the mail in the next couple of weeks. Enjoyed the morning speaking with the auditors and commissioners of Buckeye Girls State, along with Sabrina Christian-Bennett from Portage County! We met wonderful young leaders like Olivia and Khloie!

Olivia’s first choice was to run for auditor at BGS, and she succeeded!
We were proud to meet Khloie, a Wood County native who was elected as commissioner at BGS.

A special thank you to Becca Ferguson for helping us get to the right place today.

Ohio’s future is in good hands with these young leaders!

Many thanks to everyone who attended and helped make today a success! More than 450 meals featuring Belleville Pork-O-Leans and Frobose Meat Locker hamburgers were served at the Wood County Employee Safety Fair. I appreciate all the volunteers who helped create a great event for our employees.
