Butler County, we want to hear from you!

Join us this Tuesday, October 27 at the Butler County Extension Office to give your input on your county's strategic plan. Affordable housing, downtown development, infrastructure, transportation, and disaster preparedness - all of these are on the table.

The Butler County community is growing, and it's up to you to decide how that growth happens. We'll have a brief explanation of the strategic plan and disaster mitigation plan at 5:00 p.m. From there, you have free reign to weigh in on the plan, the objectives, and where your goals are for the growth of the community. We hope to see you there!

BRADD staff and members of our Board of Directors have spent the week at the 2026 NADO Annual Training Conference in Reno, Nevada!

The annual conference gives us incredible insight into national trends on economic development, regional planning, affordable housing, artificial intelligence, brownfield redevelopment, and Main Street revitalization.

This year's conference was especially focused on bolstering organizational capacity - we took a hard look at leadership development, grant management, and storytelling initiatives.

We can't wait to put the lessons we learned to work in our communities!

CANCELLATION: The Medicare counseling clinics in Butler and Warren counties have been canceled.

The remaining clinics are expected to continue as scheduled, and those that registered for today's clinics have been directly contacted.

Medicare Open Enrollment begins October 15, 2026!

There are several important changes to consider for 2027, so now is the time to review your Medicare coverage and plan options.

Residents of the BRADD region (Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Hart, Logan, Metcalfe, Monroe, Simpson, and Warren counties) can call Kentucky Legal Aid Intake’s Department at (270) 782-5740 Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., to pre-register for one of the clinics listed below, receive over-the-phone counseling assistance or schedule an appointment in our office.

Yes, we know Halloween isn't even here yet.

But now's the time to prepare for the season of giving, and our seniors could use a little extra help this holiday season!

At each of our 13 senior centers, and at the BRADD office, we are collecting new blankets, winter hats, puzzles, socks, personal care items, and games to distribute to homebound seniors who may not have family to celebrate the holiday with.

We'll be accepting these donations through Monday, November 30. Help us make the season bright for seniors across the region!
