Just a reminder of the COWS siren test today at noon. This will only be a test.

The monthly tornado siren test will take place this Friday, August 7, at 12:00 noon. These routine tests help ensure that all sirens and related systems are operating properly. Siren testing is conducted on the first Friday of each month, weather permitting, and will be postponed if severe weather is in the area.

At 03:15PM, Warren County Emergency Management was notified of a possible tornado touchdown near the Murphy Road area. After a quick investigation of storm damage, we have determined that a tornado has NOT touched down.

The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, OK has Warren County under a Marginal risk (1/5) for severe weather for the rest of the day. This does not include a tornado risk.

Weather Update – July 26, 2026 | 5:30 PM

The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma, has placed Warren County in a Slight Risk (Level 2 of 5) for severe weather this evening.

Warren County also remains under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 12:00 AM CDT. Thunderstorms may develop or move into the area this evening, bringing the potential for damaging winds, large hail, frequent lightning, heavy rainfall, and an isolated tornado.

Residents should remain weather-aware, secure loose outdoor items, and have multiple ways to receive warnings. Be prepared to move indoors and away from windows if a warning is issued.

This watch goes until 9PM CDT. Our main hazards are damaging wind gusts. Scattered small hail and a tornado can't be ruled out.

Be prepared have multiple ways to receive warnings as these storms move through this afternoon and evening.

The Storm Prediction Center has placed Warren County under a 2/5 Slight Risk for strong to severe storms later this afternoon into the evening.

This is a damaging wind driven risk, however isolated hail and weak tornadoes are possible. Heavy rain and frequent lightning can be expected with all storms.

The severe window will begin after 5PM. Showers and storms look to be out of our region by midnight ahead of the cold front.

Have a plan and have multiple ways to receive warnings.
