Hazards include heavy rain, localized flooding, gusty winds up to 40-50mph, and a few weak tornadoes are possible.

With the Flash Flood Warning in place, here are a few ways to stay safe as heavy rain continues to fall:

- If you’re in a low-lying or flood-prone area, consider moving to higher ground.
- Turn Around, Don’t Drown. Never drive through flooded roadways or standing water.
- Stay tuned for updates on road closures and changing conditions.
- Keep multiple ways to receive warnings and emergency information.
- Avoid walking through floodwaters, as the depth and current can be deceptive.

The Storm Prediction Center has Warren and Neighboring counties under a marginal (1/5) risk for today.

We are expecting strong to some severe storm potential today.

Potential hazards:
- Heavy rain, which may lead to localized flooding
- 40-50mph wind gusts
- Tornadoes possible

The predicted timing for our severe potential is later in the afternoon. Please ensure that you have multiple sources to receive weather warnings.

Showers and storms will continue tomorrow starting early in the morning and continuing all day.

The Storm Prediction Center has Warren County under a 1/5 Marginal Risk for strong to severe storms tomorrow.

The main hazards include heavy rainfall, localized flooding, damaging wind gusts and an isolated tornado is possible.

The timing for strong to severe storms will be tomorrow afternoon and evening.

Reminder of the tornado siren test today at noon. This is only a test.

Our monthly siren test will be conducted this Friday (May 1st) at 12:00 noon. We conduct siren tests on the first Friday of each month unless there is severe weather forecasted. Please be advised, the siren located in the Boyce community is still out of service due to storm damage this week.
