Select Board Meeting Recap – May 26, 2026
The Boxford Select Board addressed a variety of community initiatives, appointments, infrastructure projects, and operational updates during its May 26 meeting.
Highlights included:
✅ The Board reorganized and elected Lindsey Crea as Chair and Chuck Costello as Vice Chair/Clerk.
✅ Appointed Kristin Hanlon as Boxford's next Town Accountant, effective June 16.
✅ Received an update from Library Director Joanna Walker on library programming, staffing, and long-range planning, including this summer's Adult Summer Reading Challenge and other upcoming community programs.
✅ Approved 2026 Stiles Pond Beach fees and reviewed preparations for the upcoming summer season.
✅ Discussed future planning opportunities for Town-owned properties at 4 Middleton Road, 188 Washington Street, and Lincoln Hall.
✅ Approved requests related to the BTA/BOLT Dog Show and the Boxford Little League Parade.
✅ Reviewed recruitment efforts for several key Town positions, including Director of Assessing, Treasurer/Collector, Planning Agent, Conservation Agent, Director of Senior Services, and the Assistant Town Administrator/Finance Director position.
✅ Received an update on the successful transition to North Shore Regional 911 (NSR911).
✅ Announced the award of a $1 million MassDOT Small Bridge Repair Grant for the Herrick Road culvert replacement project.
