Boxford Fire Department Welcome to Boxford Fire. This page is not monitored 24/7. If you have an emergency contact 911 The balance of the department is staffed on a call-paid basis.

The Boxford FD is part of the Public Safety branch of the Town of Boxford. Organizational structure of the department is a full-time Chief overseeing one captain and six lieutenants working out of two fire stations on an on-call basis. In addition, there are four full-time employees that work a 40 hour week staffing the department Monday thru Friday. Our service area is a community of residential

single-family homes located 30 minutes north of Boston. Interstate Route 95 cuts a five mile path through the town over which extremely heavy volumes of car and truck traffic travel daily on their way to points in northern New England and south towards Boston and New York. State roads Route 133 and 97 cut an east west path connecting our town to the New England coastline.

🚒 WE’RE LOOKING FOR NEW “WEST” BOXFORD FIREFIGHTERS! 🚒

Did you know that the Boxford Fire Department is a combination department?

While we have a small group of full-time firefighters on duty during the week, we rely heavily on our dedicated on-call/volunteer members to help respond to emergencies during nights, weekends, and other times when additional staffing is needed. These men and women play a critical role in protecting our community and are often the reason we can quickly and effectively respond to incidents.

We’re currently seeking community-minded “West” Boxford residents who are interested in serving the town and making a difference.

No prior experience is necessary! We provide the training, equipment, and support needed to succeed.

This morning, the Boxford Fire Department responded to a rollover motor vehicle accident on Oak Ridge Road involving a trapped occupant.

Our crews worked quickly and efficiently to safely extricate the patient from the vehicle. Thankfully, no serious injuries were sustained.

We would like to extend thanks to Haverhill Fire Department Trinity Ambulance Boxford Police Department National Grid and Trombly Brothers Towing and Automotive for their assistance and support on scene.

This morning, the Boxford Fire Department responded to the First Congregational Church following a fire alarm activation and reports of smoke inside the building. After a thorough investigation, crews determined there was no fire and the building was safely cleared.

We would like to thank our mutual aid partners Topsfield Fire Department, Middleton Fire Department, Georgetown Fire Department and Ambance for providing station coverage and ensuring continued protection for the residents of Boxford while crews managed the incident.

As always, we appreciate the strong partnerships and teamwork that help keep our communities safe.

Boxford Fire responded to the First Church for an alarm activation. On arrival crews found a smoke condition in the building. Further investigation found a burner unit malfunctioning. Crews shut off the unit and cleared the smoke. Thank you to Topsfield Fire and Atlantic Ambulance for assisting us at the scene and Georgetown and Middleton for covering our stations.

Boxford Fire trains almost every Monday night usually at the fire stations. Tonight brings us into the community. You might notice our trucks on the roads conducting a drill around town. No need to be alarmed as we are training.
