Please vote today, if you haven't already done so. We cannot give away our freedom to vote by ignoring our responsibility. If you cannot vote for the candidate, vote for the platform or for what is closest to your values. Do not skip a space.

If we turn blue in any area, it is almost impossible to get it back to red! So please vote in every race.

Today we remember! Remember all who gave up everything so we could live, worship, and die free.

At our Gala in January, we had some poignant moments. When Commissioner Colby Shawn, dressed as President George Washington read from the Declaration of Independence, then turned and saluted Old Glory, followed by our amazing County Veterans Group Texas Color Guard stepped forward and presented the colors, honoring their fallen comrades from all of the wars of which we have been part. Closing with our own, County Judge J. D. Clark who sang the National Anthem. All of this was possibly because of those who paid the ultimate price, and those who came home.

Thank you to all, the brave men and women, who chose this wonderful land above your own life.

Today we honor you. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Last week, Connie Swain and Diane Hartgraves popped in for a visit to our friends at Texas Strong Republican Women.

Our friend Tonya Morris, who is a member, hosted her boss, Senator Brent Hagenbuch. It was a great luncheon and he updated us on his accomplishments and priorities for the upcoming session.

Some of the things of interest to us are Insurance affordability, DOGE act, local control, and data centers paying property taxes. He will work against any legislation that would try to give tax breaks to data centers, which would put a financial burden on the counties for infrastructure. It was a very good meeting.

Get on Board!

The current WRW board will be rolling off at the end of 2026 and we will need a new crew for the 2027-2028 term. We would love to have people who have a heart to serve, support, and promote truly conservative values in Wise County.

If you are interested, please reach out to a current board member and find out how you can make a difference in Wise County.

There is a bit of work involved, but you will make a difference and even meet some lifetime friends. Call or text Connie Swain at 214-289-9857 if interested. We would love to have you on board!

We are all frustrated with the ads, the negative and some of the choices. But if you can't vote for the candidate, vote for the platform.

More and more Republicans are saying they will either sit this one out or skip voting for a candidate that they don't agree with. Not voting or skipping a candidate is literally giving your vote to a Democrat. We have too many Democrats running right now to give your vote away. We must keep the Republican seat; it is too hard to get it back if it flips blue.

Also, many have voting fatigue, as we saw during the primary where the turnout was so small. But this run-off and the November election are too important to not get out and exercise your right to vote.

I've posted the information on when and where to vote. Early voting is only for ONE WEEK, beginning Monday, then the actual runoff is on May 26th. I have the sample ballot for Republicans, but also for Democrats so that you can see we do have some seriously contested races.

Please stand up and stand out! Get out and vote to KEEP TEXAS RED!

What a blessing to have two amazing women speak to us on forgiveness, unity, and the power of prayer.

Former HD65 state Rep Kronda Thimesch and Denton County Commissioner Bobbie Mitchell shared the ups and downs of political life and how to navigate the difficulties in politics. To hear their comments, the reel is found on this page.

Thank you to all who came last night. We are truly blessed.
