Huge thanks to Amanda Calhoun and Jessica Lafoon from The Bailey Center for Special Needs for leading a training session for summer staff members from all six of Virginia's 4-H Centers. They trained nearly 100 people on working with special needs youth in the camp environment.

We value our partnership with The Bailey Center and all they do for our community. We look forward to welcoming Bailey Center participants to Holiday Lake 4-H Center in July!

We found this treasure in a box of old photos in the office. There was no date or label on the picture. Does anyone recognize any of these 4-H members or their leader? Any ideas about the location or the event? This is the first picture we've found of local members wearing their 4-H uniforms!

Huge thanks to Tractor Supply Company! When you shop at TSC in Clarksville or South Hill and make a donation to 4-H, your money stays local and helps kids in our community Make The Best Better!

Since 2010, Tractor Supply Co. has partnered with 4-H to prepare youth to be ready for work and life. The success of the Paper Clover campaign has raised more than $24 million to impact youth with the technical skills and life skills that prepare them for whatever comes their way.

100 percent of funds raised through the bi-annual Paper Clover campaign directly benefits 4‑H youth. 90 percent of donations directly support 4‑H youth in the state where the funds were raised, and the remaining 10 percent supports the overall mission and growth of 4‑H nationally.

Support now through May 3rd at your local Tractor Supply! 🍀

We are so thankful to the Lake Country Quilters for their generous support of our camp scholarship fund!

Today, LCQ presented Jennifer Bowen with Mecklenburg County 4-H (on the left) with a check for $2,125. The monies were generated from the net proceeds of raffle ticket sales for a quilt the group made. Jennifer said the funds will help send ten children to camp!

💙 Light It Up Blue: Celebrate Every Ability
📅 April 2
This is more than just an activity—it’s an opportunity for us to come together, celebrate our participants, and show our community what inclusion truly looks like.
We’ll be hosting a 1‑hour, evening “field day” style event with activity stations, group moments, and opportunities for connection. The focus is simple: meet every participant where they are and create a space where everyone feels included, supported, and celebrated.
To help spread awareness, we encourage everyone to:
