Our end-of-May Corn Hole Tournament was a great set of matches among nine teams. With two games going at once, it was mind-boggling for this scorekeeper! My thanks to Bill Blatt, Cheri Angstadt and Harry Mohr for keeping up with the fast-paced games. Congratulations to the champs, Cheri and Toni, and their challengers, Harry Mohr and Sam Schiavo.

It was good to have members of the seniors group from 242 Community Church of Boyertown with us for lunch yesterday. This blend of the Boyertown Mennonite Church and the 242 Community Church is great to see, and we hope to see them again soon. Our thanks to Jamie Cascino for initiating the visit, and we invite other groups to do the same.

The Center’s Bus Trip crew were off to Penns Peak in Jim Thorpe for a delicious lunch and a great “I remember them” show by Abbamania. The trip, food and music made for a happy day for the travelers. Keep future Bus Trips in mind - they are listed in our PRIMETIMES newsletter and on our website.

The Center’s May Individual Pool Tournament concluded with a very close match between Gary Liesner - “The Royersford Rascal” and Bill Emery - “The Mertztown Mauler.” It was Gary who prevailed today. And a good time was had by all!

Our thanks to Beth Biehl and Tri-County Area Federal Credit Union for sponsoring the Center’s Friday Bingo today. Great prizes and information for seniors were in abundance during her time with us. Good games and a good time!

Sure. It was “just practice Cornhole,” but the nine two-person teams showed some real improvement as the matches progressed, and good-natured competition. No prizes to the winners and no photo with a trophy, but four happy faces in the end: the champs, Luann Adamski and Sam Schiavo, with the runners-up, Dolly Moyer and Toni Mack.
