ARE YOU MOVING WITHIN OUR DISTRICT?
ARE YOU PLANNING TO REGISTER A NEW STUDENT(s)?
BASD is planning for the 2026-2027 school year. The more we know now, the better we can prepare for our students and families.
In recent years, people have moved within the district, into our communities, and back from cyber, charter, and non-public placements. These changes affect class sizes, mainly at our elementary schools.
Based on current and projected class sizes, some elementary buildings are nearing capacity at certain grade levels. When we reach size thresholds, we must place students outside their home schools for the 2026-2027 school year.
We review new registrations (including returns to public school) and in-district moves on a case-by-case basis. We cannot guarantee students will attend their home school, so your child might be placed at a different building next year.
The sooner you notify BASD about a move or new registration across all grades, the easier it is for everyone to plan—most of all, for our families!

This does not apply to students already at their home school. Once registered with BASD, you do not need to register again unless you leave and return later.
