A big thank you to Gorilla Disposal LLC for their outstanding commitment to our community!

At last night's Board of Supervisors meeting, the Township proudly recognized Gorilla Disposal for donating their time, equipment, and services to collect and properly dispose of 75 illegally dumped tires along Greshville Road.

Illegal dumping of tires and other waste along roadways is prohibited and negatively impacts our environment, creates safety hazards, and places an unnecessary financial burden on our community. Help keep Douglass Township clean by properly disposing of unwanted materials through approved recycling and disposal facilities.

We are incredibly grateful to Gorilla Disposal for stepping up to help restore the area and for their continued commitment to keeping Douglass Township beautiful.

UPDATE: Temporary burn ban lifted 5/15/26
Due to dry conditions and increased wildfire risk, Douglass Township has issued a Burn Ban effective immediately and until further notice.

All outdoor burning is prohibited, including:
• Fire pits and recreational fires
• Burning of yard waste or brush
• Any open burning

These precautions are necessary to help prevent brush fires and protect our community and emergency responders.

The Township will continue to monitor conditions.
