⚠️ SCAM ALERT ⚠️

The Boylston Police Department has been made aware of a scam involving individuals posing as a Town of Boylston department — in this case, the Planning Department — in an attempt to obtain personal information and payment.

The reported email appeared to come from an address similar to an official Town of Boylston email address, but several key indicators made the reporting party suspicious, including the use of “.com” instead of an official town domain.

If you ever have doubts about the legitimacy of an email:

• Call the department directly using the phone number listed on the official Town of Boylston website.
• Do not click on links or open attachments from suspicious emails.
• Do not call phone numbers or use contact information provided within the suspicious email itself.

If you believe you have received a fraudulent email or may have provided information to a scammer, please contact the Boylston Police Department.

UPDATE: Paul X. Tivnan Drive has been reopened.

The Boylston Fire Department and West Boylston Fire Department responded swiftly and successfully extinguished the brush fire.

Thank you to the West Boylston Police Department and the Worcester County Sheriff's Office for their assistance with traffic control and road closures during the incident.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation.

⚠️ TRAFFIC ALERT ⚠️

Paul X. Tivnan Drive is currently CLOSED while the Boylston Fire Department and West Boylston Fire Department respond to a brush fire in the area.

Please avoid the area and seek alternate routes until further notice. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as emergency personnel work to contain the fire safely.

Updates will be provided as they become available.

As we gather this Memorial Day, we would first like to thank all those who have served our country, especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our freedoms. Their courage and dedication will never be forgotten.

We would also like to remind everyone that Memorial Day events on the Common will begin with the Road Race at 9:00 AM.

Please be advised that Route 70 between Route 140 and French Drive will be closed from approximately 8:50 AM until 12:00 PM. Route 70 will temporarily reopen once the race has concluded, before shutting down again at 10:30 AM for the Memorial Day Parade.

Motorists should plan to utilize Cross Street as a detour during these closures. Detour signs have been set up throughout the area to assist motorists.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation, and we look forward to seeing everyone on the Common as we come together to honor our fallen heroes.

You can help them keep the magic going by staying off the roads and yes, that includes your parked vehicles. The winter parking ban will be heavily enforced tonight, so let’s not make the tow trucks any busier than they already are. ⛔️

🔥🚒 And while you’re out enjoying the snow (or pretending to), please give Boylston Fire Department a hand by shoveling out any fire hydrants near your home. They’d rather fight fires than dig for hydrants!
