HEALTH RISKS WITH FISH & WILD GAME
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 6, at 5:30pm
**REGISTER BELOW**
Local fish and wild game can contain harmful chemicals like per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), lead, mercury, dioxins and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs). These chemicals can cause health effects if you eat too much too often. That’s why it’s important that you make the best choices for you and your family’s health when you choose how and where you hunt. Presented by MDHHS.

Many thanks to all involved with today’s Regenerative Agriculture event! To our host, John and Nancy of FarmHouse Vineyards in Petoskey, our nationally renowned speaker & soil health specialist, Chuck Schembre, all of our partners who came out to support and provide information about local conservation efforts, USDA, NRCS, Morgan composting, Little Traverse Conservancy, CAKE Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area, Farm Bureau and MG Equipment of California, and to our event supporters, Meijer Ace Hardware, and Tractor Supply of Petoskey, and Ellsworth Farmers Exchange, and for the wonderful food from Gretchen of East Jordan! Thank you Luke Anderson for help with setting up. And most of all, thank you to our administrative assistant, Kyra Cunningham for all of her work and dedication in the past three years to our conservation district. Kyra, we couldn’t have done it without you! Today was her last day with the district and she’s off to fulfill her goals in the education world with Charlevoix public schools. Good luck to you, Kyra you will be missed! For more information about regenerative agriculture please call the Charlevoix Conservation District office at 231-582-6193. Thanks again for your support, everyone!
