Cadie Pung will play an important role in supporting our kindergarten Loggers, and we are excited to have her joining our team.

Hello families! My name is Cadie, and I am so excited to introduce myself as the new Elementary Special Education Parapro and have the opportunity to get to know you and your children. I have always enjoyed working with kids and being able to support them as they learn, grow, and become more confident in themselves.

I have previous experience working at a daycare center, where I had the opportunity to work with children of different ages, personalities, and needs. Working with children has taught me so much about patience, communication, and the importance of making every child feel welcomed, supported, and valued.

Outside of work, I am the Head Cheer Coach at Boyne City, which is something I am very passionate about. Coaching has given me another opportunity to work with young people, help them build confidence, and encourage them to be the best versions of themselves. I love being able to watch my athletes grow both as individuals and as a team throughout each season.

I am also very involved with the Boyne Falls Polish Festival. Being part of the festival is something that is very special to me, and I enjoy helping bring our community together and being involved in an event that means so much to the Boyne Falls area.

When I’m not working, coaching, or helping with the festival, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and staying involved in our community. I am really looking forward to getting to know each of you and your children. I’m excited for the year ahead and all of the memories, learning, and growth that will come with it!

🍎 Free Breakfast & Lunch for Students!

Thanks to funding included in the Michigan state budget, breakfast and lunch are FREE for all Boyne Falls Public School students again this school year!

That means every student, PreK through 12th grade, can enjoy breakfast and lunch at school each day at no cost to families.

And at Boyne Falls, that’s even more exciting with Chef Scott whipping up some great dishes in our kitchen! 👨‍🍳

Free meals, good food, and one less thing for families to worry about. ❤️

Boyne Falls Public School is pleased to announce another new staff member for the 2026-2027 school year. Kathleen Gray is a shared staff member with Vanderbilt Public School, and will be spending her mornings with us teaching music and art to our elementary students. We are grateful for this new new partnership in the arts between Boyne Falls and Vanderbilt.

I am looking forward to a great year at a stellar school in beautiful Boyne Falls. In my spare time, I love reading, crocheting, and gardening. I have two cats, named Poppi and Posey, plus a foot long 7 year old goldfish named Finn McKool.

🩺 Did you know? In the most recent federal statewide data available, fewer than 1 in 5 Michigan public schools had a full-time school nurse.

At Boyne Falls Public School, we’re fortunate to have Nurse Tracy Tonsor as our full-time, in-house school nurse, serving students from Pre-K through 12th grade. Nurse Tracy is here throughout the entire school day, every day, giving our students access to professional nursing care when they need it.

But student safety at Boyne Falls is a team effort that extends throughout our building.

All our teachers and staff are CPR and First Aid certified, and we are training every middle and high school student in CPR and First Aid, giving them lifesaving skills they can carry well beyond the classroom.

Our building is also equipped with four AEDs for cardiac emergencies, emergency epinephrine (EpiPens) for severe allergic reactions, and naloxone (Narcan) for opioid emergencies.

We also have a dedicated Emergency Response Team of teachers, paraprofessionals, and other staff members prepared to respond when additional help is needed.

We hope we rarely need these resources, but we believe being prepared matters. From having Nurse Tracy here every day to equipping our students and staff with lifesaving skills, we’re proud of the layers of preparation in place to help keep our students safe.

At Boyne Falls, student safety is everyone’s responsibility. 💚

We are excited to share that Ms. Alice Loper has opened The Logger Den, a fully licensed before- and after-school program for Boyne Falls Public School families with children ages 5–12.

Ms. Alice is a Boyne Falls Public School alumna and currently teaches at Boyne Falls Preschool. We are grateful for all of her hard work to get this program ready for the new school year. Her investment in our students and families will help meet an important need for many working families in our district. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Hello Logger Families,

My name is Carolyn Strong. I am beyond excited to be joining Boyne Falls Public School as an elementary special education teacher. A quick summary of my educational background is that I have a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in special education. I have 22 years of teaching experience. Within those years, I have been a classroom teacher for all the grades from 2nd through 5th and have 5 years of experience as an elementary special education teacher.

Here are some fun facts about me. I was born and raised in Northern Michigan. The house I grew up in was about 10 minutes from the Mackinac Bridge. I became adventurous after college and moved to the island of Guam for 10 years and then Dongguan, China for 4 years. During my time overseas I became a scuba diver, visited all the Disney Parks in the world, and traveled to quite a few countries. My husband is a lifelong Boyne Falls resident. Our daughter will be joining the Loggers this year as a kindergartener.

I cannot wait to meet the students and families of the Boyne Falls Community!
