Yesterday's interactions with a mysterious man "working for the county as a subcontractor" who came out on a Sunday, on Father's Day, to spend about 1 hour tagging trees. Seriously? In the afternoon when it was about 110 degrees with humidity?
I think we all want to know more about the real reason this guy was out surveying, tagging trees, others have video of him cutting down plant-life to access the south end of the forest, and on a Sunday/holiday. Initially for the developer, then his boss said the county.
And the approximately 8 gopher tortoise burrows that were on the county parcel that the developer bought............all smashed flat according to drone video (coming soon). Where are the gopher tortoises? Relocated, murdered, buried alive?????? You can see the smashed protected trees from the canal right of way. You can see the clear cutting too. You can even see 2 former tortoise burrows that are now flat piles of sand. All from public access lands on the north side.
Inquiring minds want to know more......
Thank you to the nice PBSO officer that came out to help.
