Join us Friday, April 24th to celebrate Arbor Day! Bozeman is now in its 32nd year as a Tree City USA community, and for the last several years, the Forestry Division has partnered with Gallatin Watershed Council in the Branch Out Bozeman program to bring more trees to our neighborhoods and parks.
This year, we are planting at Boulder Creek Park and Westbrook Park, from noon to 3pm. Our goal is to plant 20 trees, and we need your help! Trees provide cleaner water, cooler summers, and beauty to our public spaces. We hope you can join us for a community day celebrating and improving our shared spaces. Volunteer registration is on the Branch Out Bozeman events page: https://www.branchoutbozeman.org/events

Bozeman residents have a deep care for the outdoors and the natural world and take the management of our urban forest seriously. We share those values and need your input! We are updating our Urban Forest Management Plan (UFMP) and are kicking things off with community engagement.

Join us for an online UFMP Public Engagement Meeting on Tuesday, April 28, from noon to 1pm where we’ll present background information and share how you can get involved in this project. To register and for more information on the project, visit https://engage.bozeman.net/urbanforest.

Cost Share Tree Program is back! The Forestry Division’s boulevard tree program is back and ready for spring! 250 trees are available this year across 8 different varieties. Trees are sold for just $100 each and Forestry staff provide the site assessments and planting labor. Each tree includes a mulch ring, staking, and water bag.
