As Gallatin County’s community foundation, we celebrate what makes our communities unique and chart a course for a healthy and vibrant future. One Valley Community Foundation is the nonprofit organization that identifies and addresses the priorities and concerns of the Gallatin Valley. We do this in a variety of ways: by matching donors with causes they believe in, focusing financial resources to

facilitate change, offering resources and opportunities for other area nonprofits, and acting as a facilitator for those larger community-wide conversations. We take a bird’s eye view of the issues facing our community with the intent of making the greatest positive change, while also helping to maintain what makes our Gallatin Valley communities unique. Strong nonprofits start with supported people.

We’re proud to partner with Yellowstone Club Community Foundation to bring the 2026–27 Nonprofit Café season to Gallatin County. From August through May, free monthly sessions will give nonprofit staff, board members, and volunteers space to build skills, share ideas, and connect with peers who understand the work.

This season’s lineup explores wellbeing, sustainable fundraising, AI, ethical storytelling, strategic planning, donor relationships, and more, with practical tools participants can put to work right away.

Yellowstone Club Community Foundation’s continued investment in nonprofit learning and leadership helps strengthen the organizations our community relies on every day.

We’re kicking off the 2026–27 season with a virtual session designed to help nonprofit professionals prepare for the busy months ahead.

Join Ellie Martin of Routefinder Consulting, PLLC, to explore the science of stress, practical burnout prevention strategies, and ways to build your wellbeing toolkit before fall fundraising, board meetings, and year-end programming begin.

Ten years ago, Andrea and Mike Manship decided their giving belonged here, in the community they call home. They opened a fund at One Valley Community Foundation, and as Andrea puts it, giving stopped being "a transaction" and became "a local collaboration."

That decision came full circle at Bikefill, a collaborative project of Gallatin Valley Land Trust and the City of Bozeman that will transform 66 acres of vacant land beside the old city landfill into a community bike park for riders of every age and ability. When the campaign launched, Mike and Andrea were ready. Through their fund, they offered a match that turned every $10 gift into $500. More than 800 community members joined in, raising over $5 million to make Bikefill a reality.

This week, as part of our In Our Backyard series, our fundholders walked the future trails with Andrea and the GVLT team, hearing the story and the vision on the ground where it's all coming to life.

Housing costs shape the future of our communities, influencing who can afford to stay, whether local workers can live near their jobs, and where families are able to build lasting roots.

At a recent Regional Housing Coalition gathering in Big Sky, state legislators, legislative candidates, and RHC members came together to explore Bridging the Gap, a new analysis of potential tools for funding affordable housing in Montana.

By bringing different perspectives to the same table, the RHC is helping communities better understand the challenge, learn from one another, and identify paths toward meaningful progress.

Have expertise to share with Gallatin County’s nonprofit community?

One Valley is accepting speaker proposals for the 2026–27 season of Nonprofit Cafe, our free monthly learning series for local nonprofit staff and volunteers. We are looking for practical, engaging sessions on topics such as fundraising, strategic planning, financial management, organizational resilience, team communication, marketing, and storytelling.

Sessions are held on the fourth Friday of each month from August through May, alternating between virtual and in-person formats.

Submit your proposal by Friday, July 31, at onevalley.org/nonprofit-cafe.
