HAVEN Haven has supported survivors of domestic violence and their families in Gallatin County since 1979. All services are free of charge and confidential.

Services include a 24-hour confidential crisis line, emergency shelter, legal advocacy, support groups, individual counseling, referrals and community education. Haven also engages in prevention education by teaching local middle and high school children about dating, healthy relationships and respect.

Many many thanks to Olivelle for supporting survivors! Reposted their text below -- if you want to support Haven while you enjoy a cooking class *and* support a local Bozeman business, head to their profile and learn more!
------------------------------------------------------------------
We’re celebrating 20 years the best way we know how: with good food, good people, and a good cause ❤️

This September, join Olivelle founders Michelle and Brie for one of three special five-course cooking classes benefiting havenmt, a local nonprofit dedicated to providing support and safety for survivors.

Your ticket does more than reserve your seat. 100% of ticket sales and 10% of purchases made during each event will benefit Haven.

Plus, you’ll enjoy a special Olivelle gift and be entered to win a private cooking class valued at $800! 🍽️

We’re so grateful to this community for supporting Olivelle for the past 20 years. We’d love to celebrate this milestone with you, while giving back to the community we’re so proud to call home.

Seats are limited! Reserve your spot at olivellebozeman.com or head to the link in our bio 💻🫶

With domestic violence a major driver of homelessness for women -- up to 57 percent of women experiencing homelessness report domestic violence as the immediate cause -- it makes sense for Haven to work closely with our partners in the Regional Housing Coalition in Gallatin County.
.
👉🏻More of our participants have been able to exit our shelter into permanent, stable housing thanks to referrals to partners.
👀 Numbers of unhoused folks are down in Bozeman for the first time in years - a sign that regional investments in housing, shelter and supportive services are making a difference.
Learn more about what Regional Housing Coalition partners have done (and how they're working together!) to bring the numbers of unhoused folks down.

👀 Numbers of unhoused folks are down in Bozeman for the first time in years - a sign that regional investments in housing, shelter and supportive services are making a difference.
Those investments include:
🏘️ producing or preserving +750 affordable homes, with more in the pipeline
🛏️ new facilities at , , and
✅ improved services at those facilities, and excellent collaboration among partners
“No one organization can solve Bozeman’s housing issues,” said Mayor Joey Morrison. “It takes people across different sectors and organizations all pushing in the same direction to have an impact, and we’re finally starting to see the results of those years of collaboration. We’ve made meaningful progress on shelter space and affordable housing, and it’s because we’ve been working together.”
Regional partners are welcoming the decline as evidence that sustained investment and collaboration are making a difference—and we all also know we need to keep this progress going.

-- from November 2024, when our friends at and put on a really good panel on human trafficking.
The main takeaway from panelists (one, a nurse at , one from Haven, and one, an expert from MSU): Offering survivors of human trafficking support and resources – without trying to rescue them – is the best way to help those survivors.
