2021 Bozeman School District Election Voters Guide and Forum to Focus on Issues of Fairness, Equity and Social Justice in Education
The Bozeman Task Force to Advance the Status and Safety of All Women and Girls has invited and is engaging the Bozeman School District Board Candidates and Voters of all persuasions to participate in our 2021 Bozeman School Board Elections with a Voters Guide and April 19th Candidates Forum based on questions of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion held with mail-in Ballots by May 4, 2021. We're focusing on issues of women and girls' human rights and other equity to promote fairness and inclusion to close the gender, race, income and other disparity gaps in our community.

At tonight's Forum, moderated by Dr. Cora Neumann, Candidates will discuss their thinking and plans on a range of questions based on our 2021 Voters Guide that revolve around the focus of women and girls’ human rights and the promotion of fairness and inclusion to close the gender, race, income and other disparity gaps in our community.

Our Bozeman for CEDAW Task Force members, who are coordinating this effort, have completed a Baseline Data collection and analysis from 46 public sources - the 2019 Bozeman Report and Recommendations to Advance the Status of All Bozeman's Women and Girls - plus our 2020 Statement on our Vision for Community Safety in searches for Bozeman Police Chief and Gallatin County Sheriff and we are looking at gendered and racial impacts of the Pandemic and economic crisis on women and those most marginalized. Therefore, we are eager to engage our public school district in this discussion and effort.
