A Twitter post from a former Tester supporter.
Taylor Honaker
As someone who used to support Jon Tester, I bought the hype and got a degree in Renewable Energy. When I graduated from college I couldn’t get a job to save my life. Eventually, I ended up joining “the dark side” according to my classmates and worked in the Bakken for many years. Under Trump’s term as president I got married, bought a house, and had our first kid. The American dream. It was the most prosperous time in my life. When Biden took office in 2020, my wife and I decided to move closer to family north of Bozeman and opened our own business. Through the grace of God and with help from family, we’ve managed to survive and our business is finally thriving. The first 2 years in business I worked 3 jobs to make ends meet while my wife took care of our newborn twin girls, and our oldest. (3 under 3). I drove for Uber, worked as a bail bondsman overnight, and took part time work as a low voltage electrician in Big Sky all while making phone calls to clients, doing everything possible to build our business. Having the freedom to own our own business and raise our children has been the hardest thing we’ve ever done, but despite all of the heartache and challenges, I feel like I’m the most blessed man in the world.
understands what it’s like to start a business, raise a family, and do everything possible to make a way and maintain sanity under the most corrupt/incompetent administration in the history of the United States. Not only that, he’s created hundreds of jobs for Montanans while doing it. While driving for Uber in Bozeman, I personally gave rides to many of his employees. A lot of them were self-professed democrats, and even they said Tim is one of the best dudes on the planet. These attack ads against Tim that aren’t supposedly supported by any candidate or party are absolutely ridiculous. He’s an out of stater… so what? How many out of state democrats donate to Tester? Not much thought put into that one. He owns real estate in Big Sky and makes $1400/day renting it out… Smart man! Who wouldn’t? How many democrats own second homes in Montana and rent them out when they aren’t staying there? Again, not much thought there. He lets people hunt on his land… Great! He supports conservation. Half the reason people move to Montana is to hunt. Only people who have no real life experience and decide to live in a media controlled environment (instead of taking risks and building something for future generations) are falling for these attacks on Tim. He’s a good man. Montana is the last best place on Earth. We’re the 4th largest state by area, and with less than 1.2M people living here, Montana is ripe for opportunity and growth. Everyone knows this. We live in the Treasure State because our #1 most valuable resource is our people and our communities. Yes, it sucks that we have so many out of staters moving here, I hate to see people that don’t smile and wave back anymore. And don’t get me started on the drugs pouring in. Where are the majority of them moving from? States that liberal ideologies and policies have destroyed. As the great x3 grandson of a Crow Indian medicine man, I know similar to what he knew, we can’t stop progress in a land of opportunity. The best thing we can do to protect our heritage and our way of life is embrace this change—proactively! It seems like all dems want to do is react to everything. The last thing we need are leaders who fail to plan appropriately. So, it’s with great conviction that I say, I believe Tim Sheehy is the man who can work with Montanans in every corner of this great state to keep Montana one of the greatest states this country will ever see. I look forward to electing Tim Sheehy and retiring Jon Tester in November, and I can’t wait to see what Tim’s longterm vision is for Montana and the plan he has to make it happen God bless Montana, God bless Tim Sheehy and , and God bless the UNITED States of America.
