Three years ago today, I experienced an event that significantly altered the course of my life. Since then, I’ve come to understand several things:
1-Trauma has far‑reaching effects that often go unnoticed or underestimated. Violations in relationships can happen without realizing it—sometimes it’s subtle, gradual, or normalized until it’s too late.
2- Difficult experiences can lead to a shift in purpose, offering new direction that benefits others and contributes to personal recovery.
3- Healing is not linear—it requires patience, consistency, and self‑awareness. Triggers can surface unexpectedly, even years later, reminding you of wounds you thought had closed.
4- Those who leave or “run” are frequently perceived as unstable, weak, or at fault—when in truth, they may be making the most courageous decision of their lives.
I want to remind anyone walking through their own storm:
1- Your pain is valid.
2- Your boundaries are worth protecting.
3- Your healing is yours to define, at your own pace.
You can find your passion through your pain—transforming what tried to break you into the very thing that fuels you.
