Our Story

The Bozeman Stingrays is the only local Synchronized Swimming team in the state of Montana, located in the heart of Bozeman, Montana.

Head Coach Patti Andresen’s Bio

Patti Andresen's career in Synchro began in 1977, when she was 7 yrs old. She swam and competed for the Santa Clara Aquamaids for 13 yrs., 1977-1990. During this time, Patti was an undefeated Age group and West Zone Champion in Figures, Solo, Duet, and Team. At the the age of 12, Patti and her team demonstrated for the US Olympic committee in LA, in the hopes of getting the team event into the '96 Olympics. Also at the age of 12, Patti competed at the 1st ever USUA event. Between the years of 1984 - 1990, Patti also swam and competed for the National team earning her multiple International titles. Amongst these competitions were the French Open, Russian Invitational, Swiss Open, Moscow Invitational, Italian invitational, Japan Invitational. Patti also swam in a number of water shows, including a "Classical Splash" which was a series of shows performed with live, local orchestras in a variety of cities throughout the US, as well as a "Cirque du Soleil" style of show performed in France.

Patti had been a part of the Santa Clara Aquamaids coaching staff since 1996. She has coached every age group program from the 10 & unders to Seniors, as well as worked with Olympians from other countries. She was awarded Coach of the Year for the development of the 12 and under age group program in 2000 and again won the Coach of the year award for the Junior age group in 2016. Patti also coached the Sacramento Synchro Team as the Head coach for 4 years. She developed all of the age groups throughout the club and lead their Senior team to a placement in the top 10 at US Senior Nationals, a competition they had never competed at before.
