The EPA is requiring the Village (and the rest of the U.S.) to find the status of the water going into
homes. Please notify the Village if it is a lead, copper, CPVC, pex, or plastic pipe going into your house.
If you do not know the status, our maintenance will need to go onto your property to find out. If you
know what is going into your home, please call, email, or text with the information and address. If you
need maintenance to find out, call, text or email maintenance to set up a time. Please let contact us by
March 24, 2023.

Don't miss tomorrow night's Wee Winter Carnival!
Today is the last day to pre-register your 2 to 5 year old for our Wee Winter Carnival for only $6. Registration fee for the day of and at the door will be $8. Registration can be done in person or by phone at (815) 458-6129.

Jump Start will be here Monday, February 13th from 9am-1pm in the nursing clinic to provide onsite developmental screenings for children 0-3 years old.
Jumpstart is a free, home visiting program through Easterseals Joliet Region. We work with expecting families and those that have children aged 0-3 in Will, Grundy, Kendall, Kankakee, Iroquois, and Ford counties. We provide developmental screenings and activities, parenting enrichment and support, and much more.

As you all know we are still currently setting up our inventory, but we have some food on hand to help those who need it! If you or anyone you know is in need of food items please contact us on this page, email or phone number provided! We are available to set up appointments as soon as tomorrow. Privacy is no problem, we are just here to help! ❤️
Sweeties Dance is next Saturday!
Your 1st through 8th grader won’t want to miss this exciting evening where kids of all area schools can get together while the DJ cranks out the music.
There will be games, concessions, and SO MUCH FUN!
Admission is only $5, paid at the door.
For security purposes, parents must come into the building (Door C) to pick up their children.
Volunteers are needed for Meals on Wheels (Community Nutrition Network and Senior Services Association) to help serve and deliver nutritious meals to adults age 60 and above who are in need in our community.
· Two volunteers are needed to help pack pre-made meals Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. in Morris (even one day a week would be a huge help).
· Two volunteers are needed to help serve meals in Mazon (once a month from 10:30 am to 1 pm), two volunteers are needed for Minooka (once a month from 10:30 am to 3 pm), and two volunteers are needed for Coal City (twice a month from 10:30 am to 1 pm). Volunteers will be guided by a certified food safety associate.
· Two volunteers are needed to help guide clients to registration once a month on the first Monday from 8 am to 11 a.m.
No special training is needed, just a willingness to help adults over age 60 in our community. For more information or to sign up, please call Linda Reiter at 312-207-5290 or email .

The 2023 Grundy County Summer Internship Program is now accepting applications! High School Juniors and Seniors at Coal City, Gardner-South Wilmington, Minooka, and Morris High Schools or GAVC are eligible to apply to over 31 PAID internships for this summer. ****UPDATE*** Water is back on. Residents of South Mitchell St. South of Route 53, there was a water main break and water was shut off to the street for repairs. The crew is working to fix this as soon as possible but there is no ETA at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience.

We are on a delayed schedule this week and next week. Monday 12/26 and Monday 1/2 are the celebrated holidays. Plan for the one day delay in curbside services. If you have a yard waste cart, you may use it for additional garbage until yard waste season begins April 1st, 2023.

The Air force was visiting at lunch today. Our guidance department does a wonderful job of bringing in not only colleges but the armed forces as well for students to learn more about and ask questions. You can see the scheduled visits in our daily announcements.
