Security Officer Needed – ACTES Program

Greater Valley Community Services is seeking a Security Officer to join our ACTES Program team.

Position Summary

The Security Officer protects participants, staff, and visitors at the Greater Valley ACTES Program site by screening everyone at entry, securing participant phones and other prohibited items, and de-escalating conflict before it becomes harm.

Employment Type: Full-time, Part-time, or Contracted Vendor
Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Join us October 24th from 1 - 3 p.m. at the Braddock Carnegie One Library for a presentations & discussions on Climate Resilience and Preparing for disasters before they happen - “Why We Prep: An Enabled Guide to Disaster Response” by People over Petro Coalition (POPCO) & the Redtail Resilience Network (RRN) followed by free stop the bleed trainings & a build your own first aid kit workshop.

Open Position: We are looking for a program assistant for our ACTES program.
Qualifications:
Five years of education and work experience in a relevant field is required. Relevant fields include but are not limited to social services, operations, accounting, and project management.
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a relevant field of study such as social work or psychology preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate in professional development trainings including, but not limit to training focused on principles of trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivitional interviewing, conflict de-escalation, harm reduction, and other relevant concepts, and apply that knowledge on a daily basis.
Attend regular staff meetings, partner meetings, ono on one supervision meetings, and community meetings.
Provide operional support for group sessions, including preparing materials, arranging the space, documtning participation, etc.

4Kids currently have openings for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. They also have a few openings for K-3rd graders for our before/after school program. If families enroll an infant, toddler or preschooler with us before October 2nd (and do not already have subsidized funding)- next summer with us is free!
