It's time to make sure you are ready for this winter weather event due to effect us this weekend. There are chances that travel will be very hazardous. Potential for substantial snow or ice. Trees and power lines will certainly be strained if an ice event happens.
Make sure you have a stock of emergency supplies (water, food, radio, flashlight, batteries, blankets), prepare your home (insulate pipes, seal drafts, check heating), winterize your vehicle (full gas tank, emergency kit), and make a family plan, including bringing pets inside and having traction aids like kitty litter or sand for icy spots. Make sure your emergency generator runs and has spare fuel supply. Have extension cords handy to run from generator.

We hope predictions are wrong but we want you to be prepared ahead of time in case they are not.
