Jeffrey Arnett -
"Young people are navigating a complex road to adulthood: They must make educational, career and relationship decisions before they have a clear sense of who they are or what they want. These choices can be especially difficult for young people who lack a family safety net, financial resources or trusted adults, creating anxiety, uncertainty and, at times, paralysis.
Leaders must rethink education and training after high school: Young people need for stronger, more accessible pathways beyond secondary school. Community college, career training and other practical options can help young people build skills without taking on unmanageable debt.
Supportive adults play a critical role:
Mentors, teachers, employers, faith communities and others can offer guidance, encouragement and connection."
